Wooden box with a pull drawer with a brass pull knob. A threaded silver disc is attached to the top with three screws. Inside the drawer is a block of wood with a series of holes. Inside are five brass weights with knob handles- 2 OZ, 1 OZ, 1/2 OZ, 6PW, 3 PW. In the main part of the drawer are two metal bowls. Each has a three chains that connect to a rod. One of the bowls contains small square pieces of brass- 1/2, 2 GRAMS, 3 GRAMS, 4 GRAMS, 5 GRAMS, 6 GRAMS 1 DWT. A round rod crews into the top of the threaded disc on the top of the box. It has a lever that raises the top of the rod. The top of the rod is squared and has a cutaway port for the crossbar. There is a hammer shaped measure on the front of the rod. The crossbar is a triangular piece with two metal U rings on the ends. The bar has two triangular studs in the center that balance on the upright. A metal arrow corresponds with the measure markings on the rod.
