The instrument is in a beige bag. The bag is zippered, has a leather handle on one side and a leather strap on the sides. It has a cardboard bottom and is lined in tartan. The instrument has a beige cotton cuff. There is a brass latch on one side of of the cuff, and the end tapers as it extends out. There is a patch sewn on the cuff that reads- Dr Robert's Tycos Sphygmo-manometer Manufactured by Taylor Instrument Companies, Rochester NY USA. In the opposite corner of the latch are two black rubber tubes. One tube ends in a rubber bulb. The bulb is connected to the rubber tube by a brass valve with a thumb screw. The other tube ends in a round dial. The dial is imprinted with a marked numerical scale reading 20, 40, 60, 80, 100, 120, 140, 160, 180, 200, 240, 260, 280, 300. There is a single hand in the dial. A brass loop is on the back.
